Kington is England’s highest 18-holes golf course rising to 1284 feet above sea-level. However, do not be deterred by the height as the majority of any climbing is done in the car on the way to the Clubhouse!
The golf-course was designed in 1926 by Major Cecil Hutchinson (who also designed Gleneagles) and is set in glorious National Trust land.
The course overlooks the rich agricultural land of Herefordshire and the Welsh borders and offers unrivalled panoramic views of The Brecon Beacons, The Black Mountains, The Clee Hills, The Shropshire Hills and the Malvern Hills.
